A Marvel fan recently shared their experience meeting the two-time Oscar-nominated actor at the recently concluded Middle East Film and Comic Con event in Abu Dhabi. The fan shared the encounter on Instagram, showing the actor signing a Spider-Man Funko Pop. The fan also captured Andrew Garfield’s reaction when they expressed their excitement at potentially seeing him in Avengers: Secret Wars.
“You’re a legend. I love seeing you, man,” the fan told the actor while he was signing the figurine. The actor replied, “Thanks, man, nice to see you.” The fan seemed to then catch Andrew Garfield by surprise with his next remark, saying, “I cannot wait to see you in Secret Wars.” The actor responded with a coy laugh before giving a look directly to the camera.
The fan jokingly interpreted this reaction as Andrew Garfield dropping a hint about his possible appearance in Avengers: Secret Wars by adding the caption, “He knows,” towards the clip’s end.
The 41-year-old actor has already expressed his desire to return as Spider-Man, noting at the same Comic Con event that he “loved playing Spider-Man” and “would love to play the character again in some capacity.” Despite the ongoing rumors of his return as Spider-Man, Marvel Studios has yet to share any official word regarding Andrew Garfield’s future in the franchise.
