After spending the better part of the last several years focusing on Hollywood and proving she could dominate the big screen just as easily as she conquered the music charts, Ariana Grande has officially made her return to the touring world. And based on everything we’re seeing from opening night on Saturday evening, her fans could not be happier!

The pop princess kicked off her highly anticipated Eternal Sunshine tour on Saturday in Oakland, California, marking her first major concert trek since 2019. That’s right — it’s been nearly seven years since Ariana last fully immersed herself in life on the road. A LOT has changed since then, but one thing hasn’t: her ability to completely captivate an audience.
Fans packed the arena for the opening show and were treated to a set packed with songs from her latest musical era alongside some of the biggest hits from throughout her career. Social media lit up instantly as concertgoers began posting clips from the performance, too, giving everyone at home a glimpse of the spectacle.
And because this is Ariana we’re talking about, the night wasn’t just about the music. The singer reportedly switched through multiple eye-catching looks during the show, per TMZ and others who were reporting on it — including a daring feline-inspired outfit that got fans talking!
And in true superstar fashion, she apparently ended the evening with a dramatic flourish, soaring upward into the ceiling as the show came to a close.

The Oakland performance is only the beginning of what promises to be a massive global run, with additional dates scheduled across North America before heading overseas. If the excitement surrounding night one is any indication, tickets are going to remain one of the hottest commodities in pop music.

And clearly, after years away from the touring circuit, Ariana has returned to remind everyone exactly why she became one of the biggest stars in the world in the first place!
