Sparks may have been flying once again between Ariana Grande and her ex on the Fourth of July…
This weekend, the Hate That I Made You Love Me singer was spotted in her home town of Boca Raton, Florida after an Eternal Sunshine Tour stop in Sunrise… But she wasn’t alone! In paparazzi photos that popped up online over the weekend, the 33-year-old was seen keeping things casual in a gray cardigan, jeans, and ballet flats as she made her way out of a Whole Foods with grocery bags in hand. And right beside her was her ex Ricky Alvarez, whom she’s sure been hanging out with a LOT ever since calling things off with Ethan Slater!

In the pics, Ricky is wearing a white polo, jeans, sneakers, and a baseball cap while helping Ari tow the bags out of the store. TMZ reported the pair were headed to the Yes, And? singer’s parents’ house for some Fourth of July festivities.

As you may recall, Ari previously dated Ricky from 2015 to 2016. He inspired some of her biggest songs from Into You, to Moonlight… and even landed a shoutout in her iconic hit Thank U, Next:
“Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now I listen and laugh”
However, she notably changed the lyrics during a show in Austin, Texas last month to:
“Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now they kinda slap”

The switch-up, PLUS him being spotted in the crowd and out and about in ATX with Ari was enough to make fans believe a reconciliation was in the works… and now spending Independence Day together?? Hmmm…
