Danny Elfman is paying tribute to Catherine O’Hara.
A day after the sudden death of the 71-year-old actress on Friday, he took to Instagram to mourn the loss. If you don’t know, the longtime Tim Burton collaborator/composer sang for the character Jack Skellington and voiced the characters Barrell and The Clown with the Tear-Away Face in the film, while Catherine voiced Sally and Shock. Alongside several pictures of them together, Danny wrote:
“I’m still in shock. Friend, colleague, comrade in mischief, for nearly 40 years. Her talent was truly remarkable. She will be deeply missed.”

Over the years, Catherine has reunited with Danny to perform the music from the classic film, including back in 2023 when she sang Sally’s Song at the iconic Los Angeles amphitheater. We will miss seeing them on stage together.
