Celebrations are in order for Victoria Beckham, who turned 52 on Friday!
The former Spice Girl is entering her 52nd spin around the sun, and it didn’t take long for the gushing tributes from her doting family members to flood social media.
Leading the affectionate words was VB’s devoted husband, David Beckham, who penned: “Happy Birthday to the one & only Posh Spice, we love you so much, and we will make sure you have the most special day because as the best wife, mum, friend & of course gym partner you deserve too. Happy Birthday, we love you @victoriabeckham.”
David’s special message was penned alongside a series of photos of the beauty mogul from over the years, including a childhood photo of a young Victoria standing in front of a Rolls-Royce, subtly referencing a conversation from their Netflix series Beckham, which went viral. In the programme, VB had to admit her dad drove a Rolls-Royce despite describing her family upbringing as “working class”
Other snaps in the post showed Victoria’s iconic Posh Spice era, as well as more recent family photos.
Victoria was quick to show her appreciation for the message and replied, writing: “I love you so much,” alongside four red love heart emojis.
Meanwhile, Victoria’s youngest son, Cruz, also penned a sweet message for his mother. Taking to his own Instagram account, the musician, 21, penned: “Happy birthday @victoriabeckham I love you xx. You inspire me every day.”
Cruz’s words were written alongside an old paparazzi shot of him as a baby, cradled in his mother’s arms, who was rocking peak noughties glam for the occasion.
Harper’s special gesture
While fans are yet to see Harper’s tribute to her mother, the 14-year-old did arrange a special surprise for the birthday girl.
On Thursday evening, Victoria shared a glimpse of what appeared to be her birthday dinner with her family. The photo showed Victoria and her daughter in a sweet embrace, a big cream-covered birthday cake sitting in front of the mother-daughter duo.
Tagging Harper’s private Instagram account, Victoria wrote: “”Love you so much @harperbeckham.”
The gorgeous birthday cake had a singular, stylish gold candle and was believed to have been organised by Harper. How sweet!
Family drama
Victoria’s milestone came just hours after she spoke out for the first time since her eldest son, Brooklyn’s, bombshell statement in January.
The fashion designer had not publicly acknowledged the much-rumoured rift between her and Brooklyn, which came to a head with the budding chef’s 800-word statement earlier this year, during which he said he did not want to reconcile with his parents.
Talking about the family feud, Victoria told the Wall Street Journal: “I think that we’ve always – we love our children so much,” she said. “We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be. And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children.
“And you know, that’s all I really want to say about it,” she added.
