EXCLUSIVE: Filming has wrapped on comedy Mick Skylark: Mini Golf Prodigy, starring David Koechner (Anchorman), Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost), Robert Knepper (Prison Break), Thomas Lennon (Reno 911!), Patrick Warburton (Get Smart) and Jorge Garcia (Lost).
Mick Skylark: Mini Golf Prodigy tells the story of Mick Skylark (newcomer Brandon Engman), who coached by his mentor Jonsey (David Koechner) quickly rises to the top as a child mini golf prodigy. When a tragedy strikes that he feels responsible for, he quits the sport for good. Above and below are first-look images.
Other cast includes C.S. Lee, Colin Egglesfield, Matt Iseman, Ali Stoner, James Murray aka ‘Murr’, Urijah Faber, and Violet Bennett.
Newcomer Brandon Engman plays the lead, Mick Skylark. Producers are Sergio Rizzuto, Tyler Jon Olson, and John Michaels in association with Potato Eater Productions. The script was written by Sergio Rizzuto and co-writer Jett Miller. Rizzuto also makes his directing debut.
Producer, writer, and director Rizzuto said: “Around 2021 I took a break from film. Coming back, my new mission was to make projects that are meaningful. On the surface, this is a silly comedy, somewhere between Happy Gilmore and Young Frankenstein. Beneath is a story of integrity, justice, and faith. We have an amazing cast and the heart of the film really shines through.”
