We already knew the date for 2027 DGA Awards ceremony, but today the Directors Guild of America pulled back the curtain on the full timeline including nominations and voting periods.
In the lead-up to the 79th annual DGA Awards on Saturday, January 30, at the Beverly Hilton, the guild will reveal its television and commercials nominees on Wednesday, January 6, followed film noms on January 7.

Online voting for nominations in all categories will start on Monday, December 14, and run through Monday, January 4, for TV and ads and through Wednesday, January 6, for motion pictures. Once the DGA’s nominees are unveiled, members will have until Friday, January 29 to vote on winners across Theatrical Feature Film, Television, Commercials, Documentary and First-Time Feature Film categories.

Back in February, the Directors Guild handed its marquee film prize to Paul Thomas Anderson for his eventual Best Picture Oscar winner One Battle After Another — he also won Best Director at the Academy Awards — and awarded top TV prizes to The Studio, The Pitt and Dying for Sex.
