Dorit Kemsley Sheds New Light on PK’s “Scary” Custody Threats

Dorit Kemsley is looking back at her claim of poor parenting against her estranged husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, which she made during Tuesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

As Bozoma Saint John, 48, questioned why Dorit, 48, hasn’t yet filed for divorce from PK, 57, Dorit looked back on the mental place she was in when she made the dig as she also reflected on the details of PK’s nine-page email, which included custody threats regarding their two kids, 10-year-old Jagger and eight-year-old Phoenix.

“When you’re going through a difficult time, you go through a range of emotions, and in that moment, I had just gotten a really difficult, nine-page email. It wasn’t just blindsided. It was like, ‘Who are you?’ Who is this person?’” she recalled on the February 4 episode of the RHOBH: After Show. “You start to question everything.”

According to Dorit, she and PK agreed to be amicable with one another at the time they decided to separate and also planned to work on things with a therapist. So, when she was suddenly met with PK’s aggressive email, she went into shock.

“I don’t know what he’s capable of. I don’t know what he’s gonna do. He had mentioned things in there that I would never in a million years believe would come out of his mouth,” she explained. “And that is scary sh*t, and you think, ‘Holy sh*t, that means anything is possible.’ What do I have ahead of me? And when you’re already in the dark, and then you actually can get to a place where you think that absolute worst, that is a mother-effing scary AF place to be.”

When she was questioned about whether PK was a “good father” on Tuesday’s episode of RHOBH, Dorit replied, “No.” However, after the scene was shot, she admitted to feeling differently.

“Do I think PK is a bad father? No, not at all. Do I think he’s a good father? Yes, I do. Truly,” she insisted.

Although Dorit went on to admit that PK is “not the most hands-on father” to their children, she confirmed to thinking they are “lucky” to have him as she further explained her outburst.

“In that moment … it’s what came out of my mouth and it’s how I felt because, for me, everything that I do and the decisions that I make, even in our separation, there is never a moment that I don’t consider what’s best for the kids,” she continued. “It’s one of those things, if I’m honest, that I didn’t feel great about the next day. I had never received a threatening email like that, ever, by PK. I have received bitter, threatening, you know, in-the-heat-of-the-moment texts and emails when we’ve fought. Never like this. Finances? We’ve had conversations about it. Custody? No. Never these kinds of threats.”

Also on the RHOBH: After Show, Bozoma admitted to being unsure of why Dorit would “wait” to move forward with a divorce after PK’s threats.

“It’s like, believe them the first time. There’s no need for a second time, the first time they threaten, believe them,” she advised.
