Duck Dynasty star Jase Robertson has shared an update with fans on his dad Phil Robertson’s health following his recent Alzheimer’s diagnosis.
The 55-year-old shared on the April 2 episode of the Unashamed with the Robertson Family podcast that his 78-year-old father is not in good health.

“The No. 1 question I get everywhere I go [is], ‘How’s your dad doing?’ Now, I’m just giving the blunt truth. I say, ‘Not good,'” said Jase, who was joined by his brother Al Robertson and cousin Zach Dasher on the podcast.
Jase noted that Zach had a difficult reaction to seeing his uncle’s state after visiting him while he was under professional care.
“Zach just lost it, you know. And I kind of realised in that moment, when you’re in these battles day by day, you kind of compartmentalise everything, just so you can deal with it.

“After a while, you’re just like, well, I got to do the best I can and be a rock for. And so that’s kind of what we’re doing, you know, with my dad,” he said.
He added, “We’re making him comfortable and we’re doing the best we can. I think that’s just what you do.”
Jase first revealed his father’s diagnosis in December, stating he was in the “early stages” of the condition.

The Robertson family also includes sons Jep and Willie, whom Phil shares with wife Kay.
The entire clan were featured on the show Duck Dynasty, which followed the lives of the Louisiana family and their duck business and adventures.
The original series ran from 2012-2017, but has recently has been set for a reboot.

The new show is set to follow the lives of duck-hunting husband and wife duo Willie and Korie Robertson and their family, with the new season greenlit for a 20-episode run.
“Going back on A&E feels a little like going back home,” the pair said in a statement about the news.
They added: “We’re thankful for all who have followed along as our family has grown and expanded and can’t wait to get cameras rolling again on all our new adventures, or perhaps misadventures.”
Called Duck Dynasty: The Revival, the show will be back on A&E in the US.
