We’re from Bonfire Studios – a small game dev team of industry veterans working on our first game, Arkheron! Today, we’re excited to open the doors of Arkheron’s Closed Beta to the XBOX Insiders Program, and welcome in players on Series X, S, and Windows PC.
Closed Beta is a technical test, so expect some bugs and active updates from the dev team! The test runs from NOW until midnight PT on July 27. For more information on the game and how to join, check out the details below!
What is Arkheron?
Arkheron is a fast-paced PvP game where teams of three build their abilities and playstyles by combining items during each match. There are no fixed classes: the items you carry shape how you play, support your team, and adapt to your opponents.
Spires is our featured game mode during Closed Beta: a focused 3v3 arena for trying out new builds quickly, fine-tuning your teamwork, and getting comfortable with Arkheron’s core combat.
Ascension is Arkheron’s peak competitive mode, where 15 teams of three explore a larger map, loot items for their builds, upgrade their kits, and fight their way up the Tower toward a final 3v3 battle. Ascension will be available during limited regional windows on weekends. View the full schedule here.
Closed Beta Exclusives
Closed Beta also includes our first test of cosmetic progression! By playing Spires and Ascension – opening chests, defeating monsters, completing Challenge Rifts, and ascending the Tower – you’ll earn Pages. These Pages can be used to unlock playtest-exclusive ‘Prestige’ items that will remain on your account even after the test ends!
How to Participate
- On XBOX Series X|S or Windows PC, sign-in and launch the XBOX Insider Hub app (or install the XBOX Insider Hub app from the Store first if needed)
- Navigate to Previews > Arkheron Insider
- Select Join
- Wait for the registration to complete to be directed to the store and install Arkheron Insider!
