The past continues to haunt Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, amid his legal troubles…
As we previously reported, the disgraced royal was arrested for suspected misconduct in public office in February, weeks after the US Department of Justice released millions of documents exposing his alleged crime. The DOJ dropped emails of Andrew sharing confidential government information with his longtime friend and convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein when he served as the UK’s special representative for international trade and investment from 2001 to 2011.

The Thames Valley Police are investigating the alleged misconduct at this time — but they are also looking into other accusations that a woman was sent to Royal Lodge for a sexual encounter with Andrew in 2010. He was also accused of behaving inappropriately with a woman at the Royal Ascot years prior. Now, The Times of London reports that investigators are flying to the US to chat with the family of the late Virginia Giuffre about her own disturbing accusations against him.
As you know, Andrew was accused of sexually assaulting Virginia at least 3 times, beginning when she was only 17 years old, after she had been allegedly sex trafficked by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. King Charles III‘s brother always denied the accusations — despite agreeing to settle a lawsuit with the victim. He also has never been criminally charged over them. But because she sadly died by suicide last year, investigators for the Thames Valley Police can’t interview Virginia herself about the alleged assault. So, The Times reports that they’re now turning to her brother and sister-in-law, Sky and Amanda Roberts, instead.
Detectives will reportedly conduct an informal interview with the pair in the coming weeks, but they are not considered direct witnesses to the allegations. Additionally, police are gathering case files from the Met Police and hoping to speak with Andrew’s security team. The Times stated it is unknown whether police received the necessary permission from the US authorities to travel and conduct interviews. Sky and Amanda will allegedly seek a meeting with the new prime minister during a trip across the pond this year. A spokesperson for the Thames Valley Police told People on Friday:
“Our misconduct in public office investigation is ongoing. We cannot go into specifics of the investigation, but we are following all reasonable lines of inquiry.”
Wow…
Virginia, unfortunately, never saw justice served herself. But perhaps her family can get it for her after all these years. Reactions, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments (below).
