Apple was then courting filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson, whom she started seeing in 1997, and with whom she shared a tumultuous, drug-fueled three years. Apple recalled the “one excruciating evening” at Tarantino’s dwelling that induced her to swear off cocaine eternally, whereby she spent the evening listening to Anderson and Tarantino brag.
“Each addict ought to simply get locked in a personal film theatre with Q.T. and P.T.A. on coke, and so they’ll by no means wish to do it once more,” Apple joked.
