Fleetwood Mac star Mick Fleetwood has opened up about the loss of his restaurant – that’s been in his care for 11 years – in the Maui wildfires.
Speaking to the TODAY Show, the star reflected on his loss, claiming he’s one of the lucky ones.
“Selfishly, I haven’t lost a family member,” he began. “I didn’t lose my house.”
“It could have happened but it didn’t happen,” he added. “So you immediately go like, ‘I’m really lucky, now, what the hell can I do?”

At least 96 people have been killed and more are missing after the devastating wildfires which prompted the evacuation of some 46,000 residents and visitors.
Among the more than 80% of the 2,700 structures in the town of Lahaina that officials estimated were damaged or destroyed sat Fleetwood’s on Front Street.
Over the weekend Fleetwood tweeted confirming the loss of the fine dining restaurant opened in 2012.

“Maui and the Lahaina community have been my home for several decades,” he wrote. “This is a devastating moment for Maui, and many are suffering unimaginable loss.”
“Fleetwood’s on Front Street has been lost and while we are heartbroken, our main priority is the safety of our dear staff and team members,” he added.
“On behalf of myself and my family, I share my heartfelt thoughts and prayers for the people of Maui.”

Lead singer Stevie Nicks also spoke out about the impact of the fires.
Taking to Instagram the lead singer shared a lengthy statement, where she revealed that her niece and young were forced to flee the house she has owned in Maui since the 80s.
The star’s niece was staying in the home on vacation while Nick’s herself was in Houston.
Due to a power outage, the star couldn’t reach her niece, despite finding out about the fires before locals.
“We knew here in Houston, but there was no way to get to Jessi (my niece) on the phone,” she wrote. “The entire area of Lahaina and everything around was down. But here in Houston… we knew.”
