ABC has released the first trailer for Tim Allen’s upcoming sitcom Shifting Gears. In the series, Allen plays a stubborn, widowed owner of a classic car restoration shop who begrudgingly allows his daughter and grandkids to move into his house.
Kat Dennings stars alongside Allen as his daughter, and the rest of the cast includes Seann William Scott as Gabriel, who also works at the shop, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell as Stitch, Maxwell Simkins as Carter and Barrett Margolis as Georgia.
Jenna Elfman will also play Eve Drake, a spirited choreographer and owner of the dance studio across from Parker Customs.
The series was created by Mike Scully and Julie Thacker Scully, but the series moved forward without them and they were replaced by Michelle Nader, who previously worked with Dennings in 2 Broke Girls and Dollface.
The comedy premieres on ABC on January 8th.
