New York’s Central Park is getting another major day of music, and the 2026 Global Citizen Festival is bringing together an unusually wide-ranging lineup for a concert with a purpose.
Global Citizen announced the lineup for this year’s festival, taking place September 26, 2026, at Central Park’s Great Lawn, with Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean leading a bill that also includes Lenny Kravitz, John Legend, Lainey Wilson, Shaboozey and K-pop powerhouse TOMORROW X TOGETHER. Hugh Jackman will host the event, with Rachel Brosnahan and Gayle King among the additional personalities expected to participate.
The pairing of Hill and Jean is one of the biggest draws of this year’s festival. The longtime collaborators are fresh off performances celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Fugees’ landmark album The Score, giving their appearance another layer of significance for longtime fans of the group and its groundbreaking blend of hip-hop, soul and global influences.
For Global Citizen, however, the music is only part of the story. The annual festival takes place around the close of the United Nations General Assembly’s high-level meetings and uses its massive audience to put global poverty and development issues in the spotlight. This year’s campaign is focused on three major goals: helping 2 million children access education, supporting 1.5 million smallholder farmers, and providing electricity to 2.5 million homes.
The 2026 lineup also represents an interesting expansion of the festival’s musical reach. Lenny Kravitz and John Legend bring two generations of pop, rock and soul credibility to the stage, while country stars Lainey Wilson and Shaboozey add a significant country presence to an event that has historically leaned heavily toward pop, rock, hip-hop and global music.
For Wilson, the appearance marks her first time performing at the Global Citizen Festival. She has spoken about the opportunity to combine live music with advocacy around children’s education, farming communities and access to electricity.
Then there’s TOMORROW X TOGETHER, continuing Global Citizen’s history of bringing some of the biggest names in K-pop to its New York stage.
The result is a lineup that can appeal across generations and genres—from fans who grew up with the Fugees and Lenny Kravitz to younger audiences discovering the festival through Shaboozey, Wilson and TXT.

A Festival Where Fans Can Earn Their Way In
Global Citizen is once again making the festival about more than simply buying a concert ticket.
Fans can earn free tickets by completing advocacy actions through the Global Citizen app and website. For those who want another route, the organization is also offering automatic ticket access with a $25 charitable donation, with those funds supporting New York’s City Parks Foundation and organizations serving people experiencing homelessness.
That model is central to the Global Citizen Festival’s identity: the audience isn’t simply there to watch a concert, but is encouraged to take action around the issues the organization is addressing.
And with Hugh Jackman returning as host, the day will once again blend music, celebrity appearances and advocacy throughout the festival.
Music With a Mission
The 2026 festival comes at a moment when Global Citizen is emphasizing both the progress that has been made against extreme poverty and the need to continue investing in communities around the world.
Global Citizen CEO and co-founder Hugh Evans has pointed to the dramatic decline in extreme poverty over the past several decades while warning that continued progress requires sustained investment and political commitment.
That combination—major entertainment and global advocacy—is what has made the annual Central Park event one of New York’s most recognizable music-with-a-message gatherings.
And this year’s lineup gives fans plenty of reasons to pay attention.
Between the possibility of a major Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean moment, Lenny Kravitz’s return to the festival stage, John Legend’s longtime connection to Global Citizen, Lainey Wilson and Shaboozey representing country music, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER bringing K-pop to the Great Lawn, the 2026 edition has something for a remarkably broad audience.
