On Sunday, Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio (aka Bad Bunny) performed at the Super Bowl.
Well, That Man was not the only Republican who was so upset about a 13-minute musical performance that he had to come online to vent. On Monday, Republican Rep. Andy Ogles of Tennessee had this to say about the show:
Later on, Ogles posted another tweet about the show, this time with a letter attached, urging the Energy and Commerce Committee to launch a formal Congressional inquiry into the NFL and NBC over the show.
It’s important to note that while it’s true that the original recordings of some of the songs Bad Bunny performed do contain explicit lyrics, the singer did not include those lyrics as part of his Super Bowl performance.
In response to Ogles, Pablo José Hernández, the Resident Commissioner (a non-voting member of the House of Representatives) from Puerto Rico, had some choice words:
And a lot of people were like, “Um, were we watching the same halftime show???”
