A new trailer has been released for the indie horror thriller Sleepwalking, starring Hayden Panettiere as a single mother who has endured a tragedy, leaving her unable to sleep without terrifying nightmares that leave her incapacitated in her daily life.
Panettiere is joined in the cast by Justin Chatwin, Beverly D’Angelo, Mischa Barton, Lori Tan Chinn, Laird Lacoste, and Corinne Sweeney.
The film is written and directed by Brandon Auman, making his feature directorial debut adapted from his own short film of the same name from 2024.
The synopsis reads: “A young woman’s sleepwalking episodes begin to intensify, accelerating her descent into intense darkness. A grieving mother is haunted by the tragic loss of her daughter in a car accident that left her abusive husband in a coma. Plagued by haunting visions, she grapples with the blurred lines between reality and nightmare.”
This looks like it gives a ton of jump scares for horror fans that are into that kind of thing. Check out the trailer below, and watch Sleepwalker in select US theaters and on VOD on January 9th.
