Post-punk band Radio Free Alice have released their new single, “Rule 31,” marking the end of their U.K. and Ireland tour. The track, produced by Peter Katis (Bloc Party, PUP) and recorded while on tour in Connecticut this year, is about trying to communicate but failing. The visualizer, filmed by Finn Morris, features a man in a hazmat suit freeing caged doves.
“‘Rule 31’ came about during a soundcheck whilst on tour,” vocalist Noah Learmonth says. “The bassline came first, and we just built it up from there. We recorded it at Peter’s beautiful house-studio in Connecticut when we had a couple days off from shows.”

The song comes ahead of the band’s final show of the year in Sydney with Behind You and Horse. Early next year, Radio Free Alice will join Geese on their sold-out tour in Australia, hitting up cities like Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth.
