Double the parties, double the drama. On this episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Emily hosts a Persian party and Tamra has a launch party for her new THC seltzer. Vicki loses trust in Tamra (once again) and makes her disappointment clear. A reunion of sorts occurs at Tamra’s event, causing some women of the group to recoil at the sight of Alexis Bellino.
Emily is unsure what the upcoming Persian party will bring at her in-laws considering the state of the group these days. She is also concerned about Shane and voices her worry about him being truly happy in their marriage. Emily admits she feels a disconnect with Shane lately.
Tamra always tries to stay on top of her health and so she is going for a Prenuvo scan. She has invited Vicki to join, who of course needs to whip out her laptop whilst waiting for her medical appointment. Tamra gets her results and she is seemingly in good shape.
While waiting for her results, Vicki complains about Carmella, but Tamra warns Vicki to maybe watch the tone in which she says things about/to people.
Upon viewing Vicki’s results, there appears to be more white spots around her brain, a potential effect of the sepsis Vicki had. Vicki immediately threatens Tamra not to run and tell the ladies she has “brain damage,” but trusts that Tamra will hold onto this private, sensitive information.
Heather and Terry talk about the sandwich generation and have a very vulnerable conversation about their aging parents. Heather opens up about her mom and shares that everything feels surface with her mother. Now that her mom is living in LA, things are heightened further. Heather becomes emotional, sharing that she never thought she was smart until she met Terry. The couple has seemingly “reparented each other” and learned the real meaning of family. The way Heather and Terry were brought up truly affects the way in which they parent today.
Emily’s party is underway and it is a family affair (minus Luke, since, according to Emily, it’s in Luke’s best interest to stay home, as he gets overwhelmed by all the noise and the people). Heather has brought along her mother, Carole, and Carmella has her daughter in tow.
There’s a lot of unresolved tension in the air. Heather knows that Vicki called her fake (thanks, Tamra), but instead of confronting Vicki, Heather puts on an act and chooses to be fake and smiley.
Even though Vicki thought Tamra would keep her scan results private, Tamra went ahead and told the ladies about Vicki’s potential brain damage. Tamra claims she was doing it to look out for Vicki, but Vicki is furious she spread that around.
Because Vicki was so upset by Tamra’s lack of loyalty, she called Tamra “toxic.” When Tamra hears this from Emily, Tamra plays the victim, claiming she has never done anything to Vicki. Vicki is the one doing the low blows.
Jenn feels like Vicki is always backtracking from what she says and Carmella finds Vicki’s behavior strange. How could a businesswoman who runs an insurance company not take accountability/keep her story straight?
Tamra is unsure why Vicki is giving her the silent treatment and so she has decided to confront her right before Vicki’s Irish exit from the party. Vicki explains that her health is no one’s business. She feels betrayed by Tamra and her gossip-loving ways.Tamra wonders out loud why Vicki would call her toxic. Vicki dodges this and is more concerned about the world knowing about her health issues, but refers to Tamra as her sister.
The party continues inside and Heather and the ladies decide that they should do a group trip to Tokyo. Even Carmella agrees to attend, despite her diabetes and fear of flying.
Later, Carmella is happy to help Jenn find her niche, since she enjoys giving people the opportunities to learn and grow in their careers. Carmella wants Jenn to pick the finishes of a new property and get comfortable doing things on her own.
The reason Carmella got licensed is because she never wants to be stuck with a man ever again. Jenn understands this because when the divorce happened, all she had was the kids. Rebuilding and feeling lost is a horrible position to be in.
Emily feels very overwhelmed at home right now. Shane believes that he is the one who is always picking up the pieces with the family. Emily is not happy that Shane left the party to take the kids home and reminds him that the other day he complained that he had no life. There has to be a middle ground?
Tamra is having a couple’s party to launch her new THC seltzers and Emily is unsure what to do. Shane wishes Emily showed him some gratitude for holding down the fort, but Emily wants him to stop being a martyr.
Tamra is thrilled to be having this Vena launch at the home of Elizabeth Vargas. This is just the start of familiar faces. Tamra has used this opportunity to get old Housewives together and celebrate her brand. Tammy Knickerbocker, Jeana Keough, Quinn Fry, Jo, Fernanda, Lizzie, Lynne, Teddi, and even Braunwyn! They are all there to support Tamra. Which begs the question, will Alexis (and John) be in attendance, as well?
No one is sure how Shannon will handle seeing Alexis and Heather admits that things are not great between her and Alexis. Heather talks about her WWHL statement, calling Alexis’s wedding a hard invite, and the aftermath of Alexis going on a full press tour.
The ladies do their best to try and prepare Shannon IF Alexis and John arrive and Carmella offers to drop kick Alexis if it comes down to that.
Alexis and John appear and Heather is put off right away because Alexis gave her a look before even entering the party. Also, WTF is wrong with Tamra for inviting those two and not warning Shannon?
Tamra admits that she is close with Alexis, but claims it is not her job to give Shannon a heads up- “we all have to move on.” Alexis claims she blew Heather a kiss and certainly did not give Heather a look. Alexis tries to bolt and gets upset as Tamra tries to talk her into staying. Alexis yells that she wants to leave and so Tamra brings Heather over to try and smooth things over.
Except nothing gets smoothed over. Alexis is seeing red and wonders why anyone owes Heather anything. Heather is unsure why this escalated so quickly and I have to agree. Do Alexis and John stay or do they go? To be continued…
