Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice and her oldest daughter, Gia, recently slammed RHONJ alum Margaret Josephs on a podcast.
Specifically, the mother-daughter duo came for Margaret over allegations that she purchased a painting from her former friend Danielle Staub‘s house when Danielle put stuff up for auction.
Teresa asked Gia on Gia’s Casual Chaos podcast if she would go buy something at someone’s house she didn’t like, to which Gia said she would not, claiming it would be “f*cking weird.”
“You know what Margaret did?” Teresa said. “I guess Danielle was auctioning stuff in her house. She had a beautiful horse picture. Margaret went to buy it… and put it in her house.”
“Maybe she wanted to look at the horse and remember how amazing her and Danielle’s friendship was and how bad she f*cked it up,” Gia retorted.
“That’s crazy to me,” Teresa insisted. “Like who does that?”
Gia then alleged Margaret has “got a couple screws loose.”
“So my whole thing is like when you don’t like someone, why would you go buy something from their house just to put it in their house?” Teresa continued. “Like that’s the type of person Margaret is. Not my cup of tea.”
After the podcast clip circulated on social media, an insider exclusively spoke to Reality Blurb to clap back at their comments.
The source noted Teresa and Gia “bashing” Margaret is “interesting timing, especially since Teresa has talked so much about making up with Joe and Melissa Gorga and wanting to set examples for her children.”
“It’s controversial, but it’s time we address the elephant in the room,” they continued. “People think that Gia is Teflon and that she’s a ‘child,’ so no one can clap back at her or say anything about her, but this should not be the case.
“She is on a show. She has her own apartment. She has her own podcast. And she has no problem throwing shade, stones, and calling people names. She shouldn’t be above the fray. She should be able to be called out, especially when she decides to open her mouth and run it like this. Saying Margaret ‘has a few screws loose’ and suggesting she ‘f*cked up her friendship’ with Danielle aren’t light accusations.”
The insider claimed Gia “shouldn’t just be able to spew hatred due to her being Teresa’s daughter and get no one retaliating in return.”
“It’s a double standard, and it’s absolutely ridiculous,” they elaborated. “She’s in the limelight and using her voice, so there’s no reason why people can’t retort and can’t say what they feel.”
The source went on to note that “what she did with Margaret was so disgusting.”
“What is Teresa teaching her daughter?” they asked. ” She said she doesn’t want to teach her children hate. Yet here she is doing a podcast hating on Margaret and making fun of someone who is not even on the show anymore. It’s hypocritical, ill-timed, and makes no sense.”
Margaret, for her part, has not commented on the remarks Teresa and Gia made about her.
