Jack is one of Taylor’s close friends and best-known collaborators, and she memorably attended Jack and Margaret’s wedding back in 2023. Hence, Margaret’s absence at such a major event certainly seemed rather unusual.
The breakup speculation was also fueled by the Substance actor’s apparent deletion of several photos of her and Jack from her Instagram page. And, before long, on July 8, People published a report claiming that the couple are spending some time apart after nearly three years of marriage.
The initial breakup report didn’t really tell us all that much about what might have caused the split, other than the fact that their marriage had been “rocky” and that they’re “figuring things out.” But now, we’ve got some updates on the situation.
Later on July 8, People published a follow-up report suggesting that Jack and Margaret’s relationship was “rocky” from the start and has remained “difficult.” “They argue a lot, and between her career and him constantly being on the road or working late in the studio, it’s been difficult,” the insider alleged.
As for who’s driving the apparent split, another source told Entertainment Tonight that “it was more of her decision than his.” “They aren’t together right now,” the source continued, claiming that “things haven’t been great between them for a while.”
For what it’s worth, the ET report also suggested that a reconciliation isn’t off the cards, saying: “There’s still love there, but it hasn’t been an easy situation for them.”
Interestingly, the new reports come the same day that Jack was photographed still wearing his gold wedding band while on a walk with his sister, Rachel Antonoff, in NYC.
