Jenelle Evans‘ teenage son Jace has been placed in a mental health facility after what is being described as an absolutely terrifying incident allegedly involving his grandmother and a gun.
According to a report published by TMZ on Tuesday, Jace was admitted to a mental health facility in North Carolina. The move comes just a couple weeks after a February 22 incident in the Tarheel State in which cops were called to Barbara Evans‘ residence over what was described by insiders as a “troubled teen disturbance.”

Per sources who spoke to TMZ about it, Jace allegedly pulled out a gun at one point during the fracas with his grandmother, put it to his head, and threatened to kill himself and Barbara.
Whoa…
The news outlet reports seven officers were dispatched to the residence. Thankfully, it appears no shots were fired, and both Jace and Barbara made it out of the ordeal without being physically harmed. Apparently, family and cops are concerned Jace may have been using some kind of substances — either alcohol, drugs, or potentially both, per the report — in the lead-up to the incident.
And now, following that scary situation, Jace is apparently now reaching treatment at a mental health facility. Insiders claimed to the news outlet that it isn’t certain how long he’ll remain there, but the foremost priority is on making sure he’s stable and healthy again.
Ugh. Such an awful situation. Jace has been through so much in recent years. And Barbara has, too. We just hope the teenager gets all the help he needs.
Sending all the love and light…
