Another woman has come forward with troubling allegations against Jeremy Renner — and he has now responded.
On Monday, a filmmaker named Yi Zhou began posting shocking claims against the 54-year-old to her social media. She and the Marvel star collaborated on the documentary Chronicles of Disney, but their interactions sound anything but professional now. Across several Instagram posts, the 37-year-old claimed she has “lived with fear for [her] safety and deep distress over the treatment [she has] endured” over the past several months — allegedly inflicted by Jeremy. She began:
“I feel profound despair that a project created to uplift below-the-line artists @chroniclesofdisney and to celebrate the history of one of the world’s most beloved companies, Disney, has been damaged by online trolling and by the misconduct of Jeremy Renner.”
She says Renner sent inappropriate photos and videos to her, apparently in an attempt to date her? Even more shocking, she says it worked! Yi Zhou describes being convinced he was ready to be in a solid relationship:
“Mr. Renner first contacted me directly in June, sending personal and intimate photographs of himself, behavior that, according to public reports, he has exhibited before. He convinced me of his sincerity, saying he had been single for a long time and open to a long-term relationship. I believed in him, in the power of love, and in the possibility of redemption.”
It seems there was some kind of relationship formed, seemingly blurring the lines between professional and romantic? There are still posts of the two of them on her Instagram feed.

While the working relationship was well-known, reports of a more romantic connection have not been confirmed.
Background
The pair were only reported as being romantically linked once, just a few weeks ago — when fans saw Yi posting angry comments on Renner’s Instagram posts. She did not mention any abusive or predatory behavior at that time — the comments we’ve seen seemed rather more about his lack of respect for her as a professional. Like this one, in which she demanded he like her comments, the way other stars had:
“Why I need to be ignored not followed and no like on my kind comments like other artists or talents have. I support your work and promote ur work…”

She then explained to DailyMail.com they had started dating — and the comments were the result of a lovers’ spat. She told the outlet:
“We have been in a relationship.”
Not only did the sometime Chanel model say Renner had “found new love” with her, she said they’d even written a love song together. She said about the romance at the time:
“As a single man for many years, he has the liberty to decide how to live his personal life. If he wanted something short or casual, or if he preferred not to commit, that is his choice.”
About the comments she was leaving, she explained that she’d finally learned of those years-old allegations by Renner’s ex-wife Sonni Pacheco and got upset with him:
“We have this documentary coming out, and it was shocking for me to read these things. So I commented publicly. I shouldn’t have. I deleted because I chose to believe and give a chance to somebody who wants to amend. He deserves another chance in life. After the accident he’s willing to change, and I want to believe that.”
This was all uncharacteristically forthcoming for Renner, who has always been extremely private about his private life.
Now, less than a month later, things are in a much darker place according to her IG feed:
In a subsequent post, she claimed Jeremy refused to promote the documentary — even after “granting signed consent for the use of his image, likeness, archival material, social-media content, and his foundation in our projects.” She complains he has “allowed without stepping up for false information to spread through fan accounts falsely claiming that the documentary was generated by AI and denying any personal relation or professional collaboration.” It’s clear there is animosity here about the professional as well as the personal.
The ICE Threat
But one of the most awful allegations came, she says, when she learned of those abuse allegations from his ex. Yi says when she called him out on his behavior, he threatend to call ICE on her:
“When I called him out privately about his past misconduct and asked him to behave properly, to respect me as a woman and as a filmmaker, he threatened to call immigration/ICE on me, an act that deeply shocked and frightened me. Such behavior is unacceptable and emblematic of the imbalance of power that continues to harm women in our industry.”
Horrifying if true. Just really sick.

Zhou went on to claim the Hawkeye star’s “intimidation” has “not only caused personal and reputational harm to me but have also undermined the collective creative work and integrity of all the artisans who contributed to this film,” adding:
“I am deeply disappointed not only as a woman but also as a director, to see the truth distorted and power used to silence and erase. Organizations such as @amfar and media outlets that continue to honor Mr. Renner as a symbol of philanthropy should re-examine their stance, as no charity can serve as cover up for misconduct.”
More Allegations
In a third post, she advocated to end “abuse of power in Hollywood,” and in a fourth, talked about past accusations against Jeremy, seemingly alluding to his custody battle:
“When I learned of his past through certain articles shared by his own fans (the good fans), I was deeply shocked. Yet, I chose to believe that those incidents belonged to a previous chapter of his life, before his accident, and that he had changed. Unfortunately, recent weeks have shown me otherwise.”
In another post, Zhou doubled down on her claim that the Avengers star sent her unsolicited pornographic material:
“In June 2025, out of the blue I received 2 photos of Jeremy Renner and then a string of unwanted / unsolicited pornographic images of himself via DM and Whatspp, that was his introduction to me, in the same way, according to past media reports i subsequently discovered he shared with other women in the past as self-intro. After having calls and text discussions he allured me and sold me he [was] looking for a relation and of course seduced / flatted that he was a Hollywood star fantasizing and loving me so much I believed in him / the power of love and embarked on the most diffucult [sic] months + 2 Oscar running projects I kindly invited him to be part.”

A Scary Incident
On Thursday, Zhou spoke with DailyMail.com again, this time about her shocking allegations. She recalled a specific incident which occurred on August 20 at his home:
“I was discussing about the doc logistics [of the documentary], then he drank a bottle of wine alone and got angry and angry yelling for two hours. I had to location share to my team, my parents and Disney colleagues in case something happens to me they know where I am. I had to lock myself in a room to be safe praying he would not come into the room at night as he was really angry. I did not say a word, I was so scared for my life.”
She shared text screenshots with a colleague from the day of the incident in which she claimed Jeremy was “violent.” The filmmaker went on to share with the outlet screenshots of some of the explicit material The Hurt Locker star allegedly sent her, and claimed:
“I have a collection of those photos and the porn gifs that he sent”
Shockingly, Yi Zhou tells the outlet she’d never even heard of Jeremy Renner before a couple months ago when he reached out:
“I did not reach out to him, he pursued me. I didn’t even know his name, never watched a movie of his. He used me and denied me and denied our work.”
This is a lot to take in.
Renner’s Response
This all comes just weeks after Renner discussed why he was kept on at Marvel despite past domestic violence accusations while Jonathan Majors was fired. And now he has to answer for more…
Well, Page Six did reach out to Renner’s reps, and they came back with a vehement denial, stating:
“The allegations being made are totally inaccurate and untrue.”
If these allegations are true, this is awful stuff. We hope a full investigation is done that gets to the bottom of it.
