Jesse Solomon offered an update on his friendship with West Wilson on Tuesday’s Watch What Happens Live.
Amid ongoing backlash over the shocking confirmation of West’s romance with Amanda Batula, 34, Jesse revealed if he and West, 31, were still friends, suspected he’d be combative at the reunion, and shared his thoughts on West’s heart-to-heart with Ciara Miller, 30, on the latest episode of Summer House while also weighing in on Kyle Cooke, 43, and Meghan King‘s kiss and more.
“Listen, I’m disappointed with how [West] handled the situation, but he’s been a good friend to me. You’re talking about a guy who’s sat on the floor with me when I thought I had cancer again. He’s a good person, I think, and I’m hoping that he can clear things up at the reunion for people,” Jesse explained on the April 21 episode of WWHL, confirming they were still friends.
Then, when asked if he’d given West any advice, Jesse said, “I think he should take accountability.”
“I think he’s gonna be combative at the reunion, but I think he should really hear people and apologize,” he continued. “He thinks that people have the timeline all messed up, and, ‘It’s two single people.’ [But] I’ll let him speak for himself.”
Looking back on Tuesday’s Summer House, Jesse said a number of things stood out.
“[It was] tough to see Amanda in Ciara’s bed, just like how close they were, tough to see West and Ciara’s conversation, and like, becoming best friends again. A lot’s tough to see,” he admitted.
As for whether West’s chat with Ciara was genuine at the time, Jesse confirmed it was.
“I think he really wanted to fix things. It’d been a long time of her being super upset with him, so they needed to squash the beef,” he reasoned.
Before the WWHL episode, West offered new comments about his relationship with Amanda, denying that there was any overlap with Ciara or Kyle Cooke, 43, and sharing that Amanda had been taking the brunt of the criticism.
In response, Jesse said, “I think he waited that long, and that was the announcement; it wasn’t like particularly groundbreaking.”
“But A for effort,” he added.
After denying that KJ Dillard, 28, and Dara Levitan, 33, were “moving too fast,” Jesse said that he and Ciara were in touch prior to Amanda and West’s romance reveal due to mutual suspicion.
“Ciara and I were both suspicious leading up to it, so I was in touch with her. And she was like, just wait for the reunion. But then everything came out,” he revealed.
Moving on to Kyle, Jesse said that he was doing “good,” but he “starting to get angry and upset, especially seeing them make out on the Yankees broadcast.”
He then reacted to Kyle kissing Meghan, 41.
“Kyle, come on. Just take a beat. Things are turning around for you. Don’t make out with a housewife in the middle of the street,” Jesse advised.
Looking back on his past interest in Ciara, Jesse said he didn’t regret not shooting his shot.
“I do feel bad about upsetting Ciara, and I obviously should’ve had a conversation with her first, before talking to West about it. [But] no, you can’t go back and regret that,” he explained.
Also on the live broadcast, after confirming he’d spoken to Paige DeSorbo, 33, saying, “She gives good advice,” Jesse was asked if Soft Bar or Loverboy was a better investment.
“I mean, I’m an investor in Soft Bar, so I hope Soft Bar,” he replied.
