PressPassLA was on the scene in West Hollywood for the official after party of Jordan Peele’s highly anticipated sports-horror thriller, HIM. Following the premiere at Hollywood’s iconic TCL Chinese Theatre, the celebration continued at Lavo Los Angeles, where the film’s cast, crew, and some of today’s hottest celebrities and influencers turned out in full force.
The exclusive event was hosted by Marlon Wayans, Tyriq Withers, and producer Justin Tipping in partnership with Tao Group Hospitality, drawing a star-studded guest list that included 2Chainz, Vic Mensa, YG, 4Batz & Anycia, Guapdad 4000, Love Island’s Ace Green & Shelly, Don Benjamin & Liane V, and more.
Guests indulged in signature Casamigos margaritas, served from a chic custom margarita bar cart, while Liga Tridente Premium Cigars elevated the atmosphere with luxe touches.
The highlight of the evening came when Interscope artist Tierra Whack delivered a show-stopping live performance. Whack not only electrified the crowd with her signature energy, but also previewed her new track featured in HIM. Adding to the excitement, she stars in a supporting role in the film, making her performance a powerful full-circle moment.
On the red carpet, attendees described HIM as a psychological thriller you’ll want to see more than once to fully grasp its layers — a testament to Jordan Peele’s mastery of suspense and storytelling.
The event was a true celebration of film, music, and culture, setting the perfect stage for the nationwide release of HIM, opening Friday, September 19th, from Universal Pictures and Monkeypaw Productions.
