Joseph Duggar is being watched like a hawk in jail.
On Wednesday, the 19 Kids and Counting alum was arrested in Tontitown, Arkansas and charged in Florida with lewd and lascivious behavior, involving unlawful sexual activity with a minor, in addition to other charges. The Bay County Sheriff’s Office revealed the incident stemmed from a 2020 family vacation in Panama City Beach in which he allegedly molested a 9-year-old girl. Now, we’re hearing new information about his current conditions behind bars.

On Friday, a corporal told TMZ the 31-year-old is being kept far away from general population in a “secure” area of the Washington County Jail as he awaits extradition to Florida. He’s being kept separate from other inmates — meaning absolutely ZERO contact — for his own safety because of how talked about his case is.
Additionally, he’s being kept “under constant watch” with body cam-clad guards checking on him hourly to try and prevent him from hurting himself. However, due to Arkansas privacy laws, there are no cameras inside Joseph’s cell.
This comes as Joseph’s wife Kendra Duggar was ALSO arrested and booked into the Washington County Detention Center. She, as well as Joseph, have been charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree and four counts of false imprisonment in the second degree.
The charges are reportedly unrelated to Joseph’s molestation charges, but the investigation was launched shortly after the incident, according to authorities.
