Kim Petras is doing damage control after appearing to SLAM Nicki Minaj.
On Thursday, the Unholy singer caught fans’ attention after appearing to criticize Nicki for taking a sharp turn into MAGA territory. For those who might have missed it, the Barbie Dreams rapper made an appearance at a Turning Point USA event in December, where in addition to praising Donald Trump, doubled down on her criticism of California governor Gavin Newsom for his fight for trans rights. She read out loud the following tweet she previously posted:
“Imagine being the guy running on wanting to see trans kids. Haha. Not even a trans ADULT would run on that. Normal adults wake up & think they want to see HEALTHY, SAFE, HAPPY kids. Not Gav. The Gav Nots. GavOUT. Send in the next guy, I’m bored.”
The 43-year-old then warned Gavin at the event:
“Dear New-scum, we don’t have a problem cleaning up the scum if we have to. Please tread lightly.”

Fast forward to this last Thursday, where Kim, a trans woman herself, appeared to pop off on the Super Freaky Girl rapper.

After launching a chatroom feature on her website to interact with fans and promote her new album Detour, a rogue comment was left under Kim’s name SLAMMING Nicki as a “beast of a lady.” While reflecting on her 2023 collab with Nicki titled Alone, the comment positioned Detour as coming to dominate the previous track:
“detour coming to outstream alone. we need to remove this song with that beast of a lady from my [discography] what y’all think.”
DAMN! However, everything may not be as it seems…
Quickly following the attention-grabbing comment, Kim shut down the chatroom feature and her reps claimed in a statement that her website was hacked:
“Kim Petras launched a new chat feature on her website yesterday where her name was meant to be user-protected, however earlier today someone other than Kim was able to use the name and type things without her knowledge or approval. Kim has been in Miami working today, and has not yet had the opportunity to log in and personally engage with fans on the website. The chat feature has since been disabled and removed from the website until the issue gets resolved.”
Yikes!!!
Notably, the same month Nicki revealed her anti-trans views, Kim took to X (Twitter) to defend trans children. See (below):
