Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian demanded $7 million from Ray J over the sex tape he made with Kim, according to a new report.
The demand came after Ray J allegedly breached a secret deal over their spicy video that came out in 2007.
While there were legal issues regarding the tape, there was a settlement in 2023, which was said to include a non-disclosure agreement. The specifics of the NDA stopped parties involved from speaking out about the sex tape or making any false claims about it.
As part of the settlement, Kim and Kris reportedly paid Ray J $6 million in installments, with the final payment due this year.
Page Six obtained legal documents that show Kim and Kris sent Ray J a legal letter in May 2025 that accused him of violating the NDA and demanded he return the $5 million he had been paid by them to date. They also demanded that he pay each of them an extra $1 million.
Ray J went live in 2025, accusing Kim and Kris of being investigated for racketeering. The accusations were made without any supporting evidence.
In response to his livestream, Kim and Kris sued Ray J in October 2025, calling out his allegations as “blatantly false” and insisting that “no such federal investigation exists.”
Ray J fired back by countersuing the mother-daughter duo in November 2025. In his filing, he denied that he defamed Kim and Kris and cited comments they made on The Kardashians as evidence that they violated the NDA.
He also has continually claimed that Kim and Kris orchestrated the release of the sex tape. They have vehemently denied this, calling it a “lie” and “absolutely false” in declarations that were filed in March.
After Kim and Kris sued Ray J, they fired off their demand letter, claiming Ray J had “materially breached” their agreement by speaking about their settlement during a livestream in October. They accused him of disclosing “the existence, terms, and conditions of the agreement.”
In addition to demanding that the money they paid him be returned and that they each get an extra $1 million, Kim and Kris said via their attorneys that “all remaining payment obligations are now extinguished.”
While Kim and Kris attempted to argue to keep parts of their 2023 settlement with Ray J private, they lost that fight last month.
They insisted that releasing these parts “would cause substantial harm” to their privacy. Judge Steven A. Ellis, who presided over the case, ruled that neither Kris nor Kim presented “admissible evidence” that making these details public would harm them.
