Kyle Cooke hinted that Ciara Miller found “evidence” of Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s romance. The star also accused West of “playing multiple women,” and he claimed that the premise of Summer House is now in “jeopardy.”
Days before Amanda and West confirmed rumors that they’re in a relationship, West claimed on Watch What Happens Live that they were just friends. The romance has angered many fans who feel that Amanda betrayed her good friend Ciara, who was once in a serious relationship with West.
On the latest season of Summer House, Kyle shared that he felt left out in his marriage to Amanda. A few months ago, the couple revealed they had split. Some fans are now questioning if West’s affection toward Amanda in the episodes was more than just friendly.
Speaking to Adam Glyn, Kyle revealed that he and Ciara have been in touch “this whole week.”
“I think she had more evidence at her disposal than I did,” said Kyle, hinting that she knew about the romance before him. “And I think she was trying to, like, let me come to terms at my own speed. … It’s just a lot to process.”
“I don’t understand the person who just decides, ‘Oh, you know, the guy that’s playing multiple women on TV and off deserves a follow right now,’” said Kyle. “That just blows my mind. [West has] gained 50,000 followers in the last 24 hours.”
Kyle said he’s now looking at the season “through a different lens.”
“I’m not trying to excuse any of my behavior. I think … I was just teeter-tottering constantly on the edge of insanity, because, yeah, I did feel neglected, I did feel purposely excluded, and then I was made to look crazy,” he said.
Kyle was later asked if he thinks production knew what was going on, given how they spotlighted West’s affection toward Amanda.
“That’s just how he is,” said Kyle. “I was talking to the producers right up until last weekend, and … I don’t think [either] Bravo PR and producers believed anything until this past week.”
“I think West [on WWHL] gave a horrible word salad of an answer that was vague,” he continued. “And Andy … gave him that opportunity to clear it up.”
Kyle suggested that the entire friend group is a “mess.”
“It really does put [into] jeopardy what the show’s about,” he said. “‘Cause you can’t shoot Summer House if the vibes are off. We’re not actors.”
As for whether he’ll return to Summer House, Kyle expressed, “When we started casting [the spinoff] In the City, I think the idea was like, maybe [I’ll be] part-time Summer House, TBD. But, like, it was a way to continue on and kind of solidify our future on the network with a new show that [would fit our lifestyles].”
“If Amanda and I wanted to have kids … it’s tough to go film Summer House with kids,” he said. “I think that show still has legs because there’s just an amazing group of friends, all super dynamic. … There’s just still so much to unpack with my 10-year relationship.”
Kyle said he has “no reason not to do Summer House” now that he’s single.
“But yeah, I have a real issue with a dude that manages to use his charm to get whatever he wants and says the right thing at the right time,” he said of West. “I’m not saying he manipulated Amanda, but she’s clearly in a vulnerable spot.”
Kyle added that he doesn’t know when their relationship started.
