Los Angeles alt-pop-rock duo Honey Revenge are quickly establishing themselves as one of the most exciting emerging acts in the pop/alternative scene, pairing enormous hooks, sharp songwriting and an unmistakable sense of fuschia infused personality and flair.
Comprised of vocalist Devin Papadol and guitarist and songwriter Donny Lloyd, the duo are now preparing to release their sophomore album, Loving and Losing, on September 18 via Thriller Records.
“It’s a little bit of Kesha, a little bit of party rock anthem, a little bit of Katy Perry, mixed with guitar rock and prog rock in the background,” – is the best way the duo could explain the eclectic fusion of their new sound, when speaking to us recently before their Warped Tour stage appearance at Long Beach.
Their latest single, “Trust Issues”, arrived on August 21, adding another irresistibly catchy track to the collation.
Bright, energetic and immediate, the track pairs ’80s-inspired pop textures, handclaps and gang vocals with a more vulnerable lyrical core, exploring what happens when difficult experiences begin to shake your confidence in your own judgement.
That same formula drives “Sunday Scaries”, released in July.
Built around a punchy chorus made to be shouted back from a crowd, the track captures the familiar chaos of a big night out and the anxiety that can follow the next morning.
“You know when you go out partying, and wake up the next morning anxious because you can’t fully remember the night before?” Papadol said around the release.
“In my house we call that hang-xiety, aka the Sunday Scaries. Escapism is all fun and games until it evolves into self sabotage.”
Their 2023 debut album, Retrovision, introduced listeners to a vivid world of bright pop melodies, guitar-driven alternative rock and a bold pink visual identity, going on to accumulate more than 50 million streams worldwide.
Press Pass LA caught up with Papadol and Lloyd backstage at Warped as the duo celebrated another significant moment in what has been a rapidly evolving few years for the band.

Warped Tour Founder Kevin Lyman has claimed Honey Revenge is one of the new era generation bands that inspired him to bring the magic of Warped Tour back again.
“That was how I discovered that this scene was not just something in my head phones, there were living breathing people that loved this kind of music,” Papadol explained.
“Thank you Kevin – we appreciate you we are never not thankful you like us so much. I don’t know why – but I am going to keep doing whatever it is that makes you like us so much,” the LA homegrown artist said.
And whatever it is – it’s sure to be colourful and make you want to party.
Loving and Losing arrives September 18, 2026 via Thriller Records.
