Appearing on Watch What Happens Live, Latto was asked how she was able to patch things up with Ice Spice and whether she and Nicki Minaj could do the same. For Ice Spice, Latto said she was unsure about collaborating with her on Gyatt, but after “her team reached out to my team” they worked it out. As for Nicki, she added, “I’m open to rekindling with anybody” — before fellow guest Gizelle Bryant said, “We love Nicki” and Latto carefully replied, “I did too.” Latto and Nicki went at it on social media back in 2022, after Minaj’s Super Freaky Girl was moved into the pop category from rap, where she felt Latto had a leg up. As they traded barbs, Minaj called Latto an “entitled Karen,” while Latto said Minaj was a “40-year-old bully” and “my idol-turned-rival.”
