Looking Back: Another Fun ‘Movies of 2025’ Video Tribute to This Year

We’re just weeks away from the end of 2025 – and the oncoming start of 2026. Another new “Looking Back” at the past year in movies video has dropped. This 3-minute video compilation is called “(some of) THE MOVIES OF 2025” edited by artist / illustrator Patrick Nelis. In his regular life he’s actually a graphic designer & poster artist (see some here), but he also decided to put together this very fun edit of films (many of them his faves) for us to enjoy. It’s not as comprehensive as the usual Movie Trailer Mashup vids (which try to feature every movie from each year), only including a handful, but it’s still an entertaining watch to remind you how many great movies we got in 2025. From Superman to One Battle After Another to Wake Up Dead Man to Train Dreams to The Life of Chuck to Weapons to Hamnet to Sentimental Value and many others. Have you seen all of these yet? For those wondering what’s up with the music? He explains the choice: “The music in this is from Mario Kart World’s Rainbow Road, my favorite game from this year.
