In their interview with Complex, Margot Robbie and Charli XCX discussed their choices in romantic movies. For the unaware, the musician has composed the soundtrack for Robbie’s much-awaited romantic drama, Wuthering Heights, releasing on February 13, 2026. The “Boys” singer asked her, “Goat romantic movie Mount Rushmore.”
As such, the Barbie star answered, “Titanic is going up there,” and Charli agreed with her, calling it “a classic.” Robbie further chose The Remains of the Day, while the pop star said, “Mine would be In the Mood for Love.” The Australian actress agreed with her, and the singer stated, “You know, and that’s very sort of like will they, won’t they?.
She continued, “And then again, it’s not really like a classic love story because she’s sort of like trapped in a house.” Further, the British singer chose Jean Cocteau’s The Beauty and the Beast, saying, “It’s just so gorgeous, isn’t it so beautiful?”
Robbie shared that she loved La Belle et la Bête. The 35-year-old added, “Do you know what? They did a party here the other night, and they had hands going through and holding wine glasses.” Robbie exclaimed, “I was like, this is La Belle et la Bête.” Moreover, Aitchison noted, “It’s so innovative for the time,” and the Oscar-nominated actress echoed her thoughts.
In a recent interview, Robbie also expressed her fondness for romantic movies at the London premiere of The Wuthering Heights. She told the Press Association, “I love watching romantic films.”
The mother of one continued, “I love the escape that it offers, often diving into a world, especially like this one which is so big and cinematic and a time without cellphones often makes things feel more romantic” (via The Hunts Post).
