If you caught Moby’s set at Coachella this year, you already know the energy this show is going to have. The multi-platinum, five-time Grammy-nominated electronic legend just announced a headline date at Brookside at The Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Saturday, November 7 — and he’s not coming alone. Underworld, the duo behind “Born Slippy (Nuxx)” and one of dance music’s most enduring live acts, is joining as special guest.
This isn’t just another tour stop, either. It’s one of only two confirmed North American performances for Moby right now, the other being a Bill Graham Civic Auditorium show in San Francisco two nights earlier on November 5. Considering he just wrapped a sold-out European summer tour and delivered what by all accounts was one of the most captivating live-band sets of this year’s Coachella, a rare LA-area date is worth circling on the calendar.
The support lineup is doing some heavy lifting too. Fcukers, Nia Archives (playing a DJ set) and DJ Holographic round out the bill, giving the night a genuinely strong up-and-coming-meets-legendary-headliner shape rather than feeling like an afterthought undercard.
Setting matters here. Brookside at The Rose Bowl isn’t the stadium itself — it’s the open-air, grass-covered golf course right next door, with the San Gabriel Mountains as the backdrop. Goldenvoice, the promoter behind Coachella, Stagecoach, and the exclusive booker for the venue (we covered Just Like Heaven there), is running the show, and given their track record with outdoor productions, expect this to lean into the setting rather than fight it.
A quick word on who’s actually on this bill:
Moby — born Richard Melville Hall, and yes, the nickname does trace back to a family connection to Moby-Dick author Herman Melville — has been releasing music since his 1991 single “Go,” a track Rolling Stone has ranked among the best records of all time. He’s sold more than 20 million albums worldwide and has produced or remixed everyone from David Bowie to Daft Punk. Beyond music, he’s also known for his advocacy work with organizations like The Humane Society and the ACLU.
Underworld — Rick Smith and Karl Hyde — are more than three decades removed from their landmark debut dubnobasswithmyheadman, and 2025 turned into something of a renaissance year for them: a Boiler Room debut that pulled over a million views in its first five days, a reissue campaign that saw all seven of their studio albums hit the top of the charts simultaneously, and a sold-out US tour. They’re still very much an active creative force, with recent collaborations alongside Brutalismus 3000, KETTAMA and KI/KI.
