It looks like Ashley Tisdale is starting her own mom group… with her ex-friend Hilary Duff‘s own estranged sister!
Following the messy fallout from her mom group drama essay with The Cut, the High School Musical alum was hanging out with Haylie Duff! The 40-year-old food blogger took to Instagram Stories on Tuesday to post a photo of her 7-year-old daughter Lulu playing under a table with Ashley’s 4-year-old daughter Jupiter. She captioned the sweet photo:
“Under table shenanigans.”

The playdate raises eyebrows since everyone knows at this point that Ashley’s mom group drama involves Hilary! In case you missed it, the Phineas and Ferb star slammed her former group of mom friends, calling them “toxic” and way “too high school” for her liking. While Ashley tried to deny it, everyone quickly realized that those pals likely included Hilary, Mandy Moore, and Meghan Trainor. People from the group, including the Lizzie McGuire alum’s own husband, weighed in on the matter. So, it’s pretty clear who the article was about!
Hilary isn’t only dealing with mom group drama, though! She’s also fighting with her own sister! There have been rumors that Hilary and Haylie have been estranged for years, and the singer confirmed it with her new song, We Don’t Talk. Oh, and Haylie did too… by siding with Ashley amid the essay controversy! Now this playdate?! Oof! It is clear Haylie is NOT Team Hilary! And Ashley is clearly sending a message with this playdate!
