This an absolutely wild conclusion to a case…
As we previously reported, then-18-year-old Jazmin Paez was arrested in July 2023 after requesting on the parody website called RentAHitman.com a hitman to kill her 3-year-old son. Investigators claimed Bob Innes, who runs the site, received an extremely detailed email from Paez, which included information on the location to carry out the murder and a photo of her toddler, saying she wanted the job done “once and for all” and that he needed to go “far, far, far away, and possibly be killed, but ASAP.”
Soon after reading the inquiry, Innes contacted the Miami-Dade police. Authorities traced her IP address and found where she sent the email from. They also soon discovered the little boy was alive and with his grandmother, who confirmed he was the target. To catch Paez, they posed as workers for the site and talked to her over email, and she agreed to pay $3,000 for the murder of her child. How disturbing.

Paez, thankfully, was caught. She was taken into custody and charged with first-degree solicitation of murder and third-degree using a communications device for an unlawful use. However, this story has an infuriating end.
According to WKRC, Paez took a plea deal, pleading guilty to soliciting first-degree murder, unlawful use of a communications device, and tampering with evidence on Monday. The now 20-year-old originally faced up to 40 years in prison for her crimes. However, in exchange, prosecutors offered a withhold of adjudication — meaning she won’t be legally classified as a convicted felon. She also will get NO JAIL TIME! Yes, you read that right!
Paez, who was diagnosed with schizophrenia following her arrest, was instead sentenced to two years of community control, 12 years of reporting probation, and mandatory behavioral therapy until no longer deemed necessary. Her parental rights were already terminated in dependency court, and she is now barred from contacting her son until her probation ends in 2040. The child has been adopted by Paez’s mom. Meanwhile, Paez is living with her biological father.
Following the news, Innes issued a statement on X (Twitter) on Tuesday to say:
“JAZMIN PAEZ pleaded guilty yesterday. Another reminder that RentAHitman isn’t Amazon for bad decisions. You submit a hit request on your own 3-year-old, and next thing you know, law enforcement is at your door. Child safe. Case closed. Capisce.”
