It was a star-studded event, but there was no doubt the night belonged to Blue Ivy Carter.
Stars assembled at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre on December 9 for the premiere of Mufasa: The Lion King, the latest film in the beloved Disney franchise.
Beyonce and her 12-year-old daughter Blue Ivy have both loaned their voices to the project, with the music icon voicing Nala and Blue voicing Nala’s daughter Princess Kiara.
The duo led the arrivals on the red carpet – joined, in a public appearance few would have expected this week, by Jay-Z.
The rapper has been accused of sexually assaulting a teenager in 2000, in a lawsuit that also alleges Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was involved in the incident. Jay-Z has labelled the allegation “heinous”, and this is his first appearance since it became public.
