Halsey has dropped her latest, fifth album “The Great Impersonator” a mix of heartbreak and fun that will have you singing along, but grabbing the tissues!
Halsey touches on some of her biggest life moments the past few years from a heart-wrenching breakup, to the birth of her daughter, to being diagnosed and treated for both lupus and leukemia. These challenges would be enough to make an artist retreat but for Halsey she faces these struggles along with touching upon her past with mental illness, a poor family upbringing and more head on. Despite the heavy subject matter, she finds a way to keep the pop music with an air of amusement.

To add to the fun, on social media, Halsey has rolled out a campaign in which she previews these songs one by one with an homage to the music heroes she is saluting including Cher, Kate Bush, Linda Ronstadt, Dolly Parton, Amy Lee, PJ Harvey, Stevie Nicks, Bruce Springsteen, Dolores O’Riordan, Aaliyah, Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell, David Bowie, Bjork and Britney Spears.
