Netflix drama Remarkably Bright Creatures hailed as ‘unforgettable’

Netflix’s moving new drama, Remarkably Bright Creatures, has been hailed as an “absolute must-watch” by viewers. 

The new film, based on Shelby Van Pelt’s hit debut novel, stars Sally Field as a widow who forms an unlikely bond with an octopus at the local aquarium where she works.

You know you’re in safe hands when Sally Field is on the screen. The two-time Academy Award–winning actor boasts an endless list of acclaimed movie credits, including Lincoln, Forrest Gump, and my personal favourite, Mrs. Doubtfire. The 79-year-old actress has had viewers reaching for the tissues in this moving tale about grief and unlikely friendships.

What is Remarkably Bright Creatures about? 

The drama centres around Tova (Field), a widow who works at a local aquarium, and Cameron (Lewis Pullman), a newcomer to the town. 

Tova finds joy again when she forms unlikely bonds with a giant Pacific octopus and Cameron, a wayward young man who comes to town in search of family.

The synopsis continues: “Together, they uncover a mystery that will lead them to a life-changing discovery and restore their sense of wonder.”

What have viewers said about the film? 

Viewers have been full of praise for the film, with many hailing it as a “must-watch”. Taking to social media, one person penned: “Highly recommend. I believe Sally Field will win an award for this movie. She, along with Lewis Pullman, are excellent.”
