It’s not just Kanye West who could put a wedge in Kim Kardashian‘s romance with Lewis Hamilton!
The model and racing driver’s romance has been heating up off track these last few months, but not everyone’s been loving it! And we’re not just talking about diehard fans who wish they had their shot with the Ferrari star! The most important woman in his life is reportedly raising a red flag to this romance — UH OH!!!
Radar Online sources spilled the tea on Monday, claiming Lewis’ momma Carmen Larbalestier isn’t thrilled with his new girlfriend! The outlet learned that the reason the F1 athlete didn’t attend the Oscars after-party with Kim is that he had to race in the Chinese Grand Prix. However, he still made time for sightseeing and horseback riding with his mom before the race.

An insider said this shouldn’t surprise anyone since he’s “incredibly close to his mom.” But that could pose a big problem for the reality star:
“Her opinion carries a lot of weight with him, so this is definitely something that should worry Kim.”
Oof. For now, the SKIMS founder isn’t stressing. She’s used to people making assumptions about her until they really get to know her. Unfortunately, in this case, it might not be so easy to win Carmen over!
“But a lot of people think Kim’s going to be in for a rude awakening because Carmen is a tough cookie and fiercely protective of her son. She’s also at a stage in life where she really wants grandkids, so she’s looking at anyone he dates through that lens.”
Well… The mother of four has reportedly been dropping hints for Lewis to put a ring on it already. You’d think she was actually on the same page as Carmen, but not at all… The insider continued:
“And from her perspective, the Kardashian lifestyle isn’t something that really meshes with her son’s personality long term. She feels he’d be much better off partnered with someone more low-key and private.”
The only good thing Kim’s got going for her? The source thinks Carmen “isn’t going to tell [Lewis] directly what to do.” She’ll likely give her opinion, but it’s not like she’s gonna shut down the romance. It’ll be up to Lewis to decide what to do — but if he doesn’t feel like he’s got his mom’s approval, that could be a deal breaker:
“It’s hard to imagine Lewis won’t be swayed by that. He calls his mom the ‘first love of his life,’ so that should tell you everything about how much influence she has with him.”
Fans of this romance better hope Momma Hamilton warms up to Kimmy Kakes! This isn’t sounding so good!!
