Celine Dion has stunned the world with a spectacular performance at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
Dion wore a stunning silver gown as she belted out Hymne A L’Amour in a triumphant return halfway up the Eiffel Tower.
The singer was greeted with thunderous applause, at the conclusion of the opening ceremony.

This performance marks a milestone for Dion, as it is her first since she had to take a break from singing amid her ongoing health battle with Stiff Person Syndrome.
The 56-year-old shared a personal message after the incredible performance.
“I’m honored to have performed tonight, for the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony, and so full of joy to be back in one of my very favorite cities! Most of all, I’m so happy to be celebrating these amazing athletes, with all their stories of sacrifice and determination, pain and perseverance,” the singer penned on her Instagram account, sharing it alongside a photo of her making a heart with her hands.
“All of you have been so focused on your dream, and whether or not you take home a medal, I hope that being here means that it has come true for you! You should all be so proud, we know how hard you have worked to be the best of the best. Stay focused, keep going, my heart is with you!”

The music legend revealed in 2022 that she was diagnosed with what the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke describe as “a rare, progressive syndrome that affects the nervous system, specifically the brain and spinal cord”.
“While we’re still learning about this rare condition, we now know this is what’s been causing all of the spasms that I’ve been having,” Dion had said in her announcement, revealing she had also cancelled the remainder of her world tour.
“Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to.”

After two years of rest, she recently shared she was preparing for a new show in Las Vegas.
“We have been working so hard to put this show together, because I’m back,” she excitedly told the BBC last month.
“I’ll be on stage. I don’t know when exactly, but trust me I will scream it out loud. I can’t wait.”
Earlier on, Lady Gaga performed an extravagant show on the banks of the River Seine, emerging from a plume of pink feathers at the bottom of a golden staircase.
The singer and actress sang Mon Truc En Plumes, which means ‘My thing with feathers’, for the 7000 athletes, more than 3500 actors, dancers and musical performers and the millions watching at home.
“I wanted nothing more than to create a performance that would warm the heart of France, celebrate French art and music, and on such a momentous occasion remind everyone of one of the most magical cities on earth – Paris,” the superstar said of her performance.
