!llmind is known for pushing the boundaries of technology, and he’s now funneled all his online content through OpenAI technology to create a clone of himself in the form of a chatbot.
On Monday (June 5), the producer — who besides making beats also hosts a podcast and occasionally gives talks and lectures — announced on Instagram that a new feature containing all his wisdom is now available to purchase online. The bot, named BlapGPT, has made it possible to interact with !llmind via a chat box.
The Ask !llmind website currently offers three different memberships: monthly ($14.99), yearly ($120) and lifetime ($300). The “smart and intuitive” clone of the New York-based producer serves to mentor those who seek his guidance but don’t always have the time to listen to his podcast or attend the events he speaks at.
A description of the GPT-4 bot reads: “Ask him literally anything. EXAMPLE: ‘I want to achieve X, but I don’t know how to Y’ or ‘I’m currently working on X. [ask for specific advice]’. Or, just have a casual conversation. The possibilities are endless.”
“We took thousands of hours of content from my podcast,” !llmind said in a video on Instagram. “We transcribed all the videos from past talks, all the one-on-one interactions, all the conversations that I’ve had with some of you guys — we took that data set and trained an AI bot to act like me.”
Additionally, the bot has taken from past interviews, blog posts and tweets. Pretty much any trace of !llmind in the cyberspace has been bundled into this entity.
The bot’s website also emphasizes its precision: “Thanks to the power of OpenAI’s GPT-4 source, Illmind’s true personality and flow is evident in our Illmind bot. We even sat down with the REAL Illmind to compare his responses to the bot’s. The conversations and replies were strikingly accurate.”
The Instagram post also features a casual use of the chat box that demonstrates how the bot has been designed to give humanized responses. It offers more than dry information and has been trained to interact with some personality.
The Grammy-winning musician has a deep resume that spans two decades of working with countless A-listers. Aside from his contributions to Hip Hop, which he has never stopped working on, !llmind has recently been exploring the boundaries of technology.
Last year, he sold the first-ever “sample pack NFT” for 4.5 ETH, which was worth $9,000 at the time. Furthermore, he even designed his own recording studio in the Metaverse for virtual-reality meetings and collaborations.

Meanwhile, one producer who’s not a fan of AI is Young Guru, who raised concerns and spoke out against it when an AI-generated JAY-Z verse went viral in March.
“I’ve been trying to tell everyone that this is where we are now with AI,” he said. “For some reason this one got everyone’s attention. So what do we do. On one hand I’m well aware that you can’t stop technology. Once the genie is out of the box you can put him back in.
“On the other hand we have to protect the rights of the artist. Not only artist but everyone in society. People should not be able to take your Name, Image and Likeness without permission. We have to add the voice to this law.”
He added: “We have to learn from past mistakes. You would be a fool to chase every person that is going to do this. We learned that lesson with Napster. The only way I see to deal with it is to change the law. There are so many different opinions. We could change the United States law tomorrow but the internet is world wide. What a time we live in!!”
He also recently called out Timbaland over his “dangerous and corny” plans for AI music.
