In 2025, Jonathan Bailey came crashing onto the scene to snatch the title of People‘s Sexiest Man Alive… so while he enjoys the crown, we thought we’d take a trip down ghost of Sexiest Man Alive’s past!
Prior to Jonathan taking the title, we had an… inneresting five-year run. In 2020, Michael B. Jordan took the title, followed by Paul Rudd in 2021. That decision confused some fans who consider him more of a comedian than a sex symbol, but the decision was sealed in print!
In 2022, People crowned another Marvel hero Sexiest Man Alive in Chris Evans, followed by Patrick Dempsey in 2023. That decision took a LOT of people by surprise as they argued the Grey’s Anatomy star’s heyday — when his star power was undeniable — was two decades ago.
But controversy REALLY struck in 2024 when John Krasinski — the dude known for giving cheeky nods to the camera in The Office — was crowned. Sure, he hit a sexy spike in 2015 when he famously debuted a chiseled body, but by 2024, it had nearly been a DECADE since he made any real sexy noise.
Rumors even bubbled up claiming John paid “millions of dollars to be ‘chosen’” because “he knows that people are losing interest in him and he thinks that spending the money on the title is a good investment in gaining back momentum for his career.”
YEESH!
So given the controversial run, we thought we’d take a moment to offer our official re-ranking of the past five Sexiest Men Alive! Are U ready??

Topping the list at number 1 in our personal ranking of the recent Sexiest Men Alive is none other than THE Michael B. Jordan! Snagging the title all the way back in 2020, he may be the least-recent of People‘s modern picks, but he’s still sexy as ever to us! We mean, look at the material:
Chris Evans
Next on our list and the second-most sexy overall is Chris Evans! How can you deny his chiseled good looks and undeniable versatility? Whether he’s suiting up in armor as Captain America in The Avengers, or stripping down to a jockstrap in Honey Don’t… he can do it all!

Coming in third place on our list — the middle-most sexy — is Patrick Dempsey! He may be the oldest actor on this list, but that just proves he’s aging like fine wine! McDreamy never left the building!
Paul Rudd
Ladies and gentlemen, we present you Mr. Paul Rudd as number 4 on our list! While he spent DECADES building his career as a funny man, his gentlemanly charm and undeniably sparkling features are enough to sweep us off our feet! Whether it be his seemingly ageless appearance, or his impressively shredded transformation to become a believable Marvel hero, he’s doing something right!

John Krasinski
So that means that coming in hot at number five is John Krasinski! It’s beyond doubt that he’s a total cutie, but in a ranked list of hunks, someone has to come in last! Whether it be because it’s been a decade since he debuted his ripped bod, or all the controversy surrounding his 2024 title, we feel comfortable placing him at the end of our list!
But he’s still a total babe and VERY easy on the eyes!
