The Primetime Emmy Awards‘ rankings “rebound” is over.
After ceasing a seven-year viewers slide in 2021, this Monday’s telecast of TV’s greatest night time drew simply 5.9 million whole viewers to NBC, down 24 % from final time round to mark an all-time low.
Within the demo, Monday night time’s present pulled a 1.1 ranking, down sharply from final 12 months’s 1.8.
TVLine readers gave the telecast a mean grade of “C,” whereas Kenan Thompson earned as “D” as host.
The Emmys’ earlier all-time viewers low, of 6.4 million, was set in 2020 by the primary pandemic-era, digital ceremony on ABC. Final 12 months’s Emmycast, on CBS, improved 16 % on that nadir.
