The McBee family is back in the saddle for The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys season 2, but this time, there’s a major difference. Family patriarch Steven McBee Sr. will be MIA as he’s awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to multi-million-dollar crop insurance fraud back in November 2024. Steven is facing up to 30 years in prison when the sentence is passed down this June, so his sons will take the reins for the next season of the family’s reality show.
The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys season 1 dealt mostly with Steven’s struggles to keep his Missouri farm afloat and keep his four sons—Steven McBee Jr., Cole McBee, Jesse McBee, and Brayden McBee—in line while he’s at it. The boys’ love lives and extracurricular activities left Steven Sr. struggling to maintain control. The McBee Family’s Eldest Son
Steven Jr.’s evolution on the show will see him rise up to fill his dad’s cowboy boots when season 2 premieres. As the McBee family’s eldest son, Steven Jr. faces immense pressure to keep the farm (and his family’s livelihood) alive. The struggle for power in the McBee family is real, and as the eldest son, Steven Jr. is attempting to rise to the top while navigating his on-again, off-again relationship with Calah Jackson.
Calah and Steven Jr. originally met on another reality show, Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer, in 2022.
In addition to his father’s absence, Steven Jr. must come up with the cash ($6 million, to be exact) to keep McBee Farm & Cattle Company up and running. Steven Jr. wants to be the leader his father was and provide his family with security. The pressure is on for Steven Jr. to prove he has what it takes to lead the farm and his family into its next chapter.

The McBee Family’s Second Eldest Son
As the McBee family’s second-eldest son, Jesse is facing adulthood and commitment in a way his brothers aren’t: He proposed to longtime girlfriend, Alli Ventresca, in July, and their October wedding will be featured on season 2 of The McBee Dynasty. The high school sweethearts originally met after Jesse slid into Alli’s DMs back in 2012, according to People magazine. Jesse told People that, “The idea of high school sweethearts we feel is a lost art. We love our story and know that people change and grow and learn and we just want to do all of that together.”

What likely won’t be shown on season 2? The birth of Jesse and Alli’s daughter, Summer McBee, who was born on April 17 of this year. Summer is the second grandchild for the McBee family, as Cole and girlfriend Kacie Adkison gave birth to their daughter, Blair McBee, on Dec. 13, 2024.

Third-eldest son Cole is also growing up, as he and girlfriend Kacie Adkison are expecting a child during The McBee Dynasty season 2. Brayden doesn’t spend as much time working on the family farm, instead choosing to live closer to his mother, Kristi McBee, according to Showbiz Cheat Sheet. But for season 2, Brayden will take a heavier hand in the family business and embrace his title as the family’s “most eligible bachelor.”

The McBee Family’s Matriarch
Kristi is the mother of the four McBee boys. She and Steven Sr. were married for 28 years before splitting in 2019. Kristi didn’t appear on the family reality show’s first season, but now that Steven Sr. isn’t available, Kristi attempts to be the parent the boys need. Kristi’s marriage to Steven Sr. was fraught, but Steven said in an interview with USA Network that he’ll always have love for Kristi.
“I’ll always love the boys’ mom. I have the same mom with the same four kids.”
Kristi will have to battle with Steven Sr.’s long-suffering romantic partner, Galyna Saltkovska, this season. Kristi blames Galyna for the end of her marriage to Steven, despite the tumultuous nature of her marriage. The no-nonsense Kristi will likely have to put in work this season to prove her rightful place in the family.

Speaking of tumultuous relationships, Calah has dated Steven Jr. since they met on Joe Millionaire in 2022. Calah has never felt accepted by the McBee family, probably due to the ups and downs she and Steven have faced. The couple have broken up and gotten back together numerous times, which makes it difficult for Calah to stick around.

The patient Alli waited over 10 years to marry Jesse, and their wedding will be featured on The McBee Dynasty season 2. They also welcomed a daughter in April. Alli and Jesse’s road to the altar wasn’t perfect, as Jesse felt cold feet in the days leading up and faced pressure from his brothers to have Alli sign a prenup. Still, they tied the knot and had a child, so it clearly worked out for them.
