Amanda Frances shaded Dorit Kemsley after last week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, poking fun at her decision to throw a party for her upcoming book, Unburdened, before its release.
As she also declared that it was unlikely that she’d read the memoir, citing Dorit’s use of a ghostwriter, Amanda, 41, reflected on her own book party as Jennifer Tilly, 67, defended Dorit’s celebration and Bozoma “Boz” Saint John, 49, proclaimed her support for the book, which is set to be released on June 2.
“I waited until my book was complete and in the hands of human beings to have my book party. But there was an opportunity to promote the book. Promote the book. I’m all for it … [But] it’s unlikely that I’ll read the book her ghostwriter wrote for her,” Amanda admitted on the April 9 episode of the RHOBH: After Show.
But Jennifer thought Dorit’s party was a “fabulous” idea, especially considering the drama going on in her life at that time.
“I think you need to celebrate the small wins in your life. She did the whole photo shoot and everything. It’s just a way of saying, here’s what I’m doing, and making it concrete and making it real,” she reasoned.
Then, as Boz revealed she was planning to buy the book and the audiobook, allowing Dorit to “read it to [her]” as she turned the pages, Dorit denied the publication was a tell-all.
“It is me speaking from my heart, like I’m talking to a best friend and just sharing [about] everything .. This is not a tell-all… This is me baring my soul, being honest, being open,” she explained. “I’ve been through a lot of trials and tribulations, particularly the last decade. I married PK, the end of our marriage, there’s a lot between joining the show and just before that.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
