Shannon Beador was called out for her poor treatment of crew members by a former Real Housewives producer on Instagram on Sunday.
Following a slew of similar claims against the 62-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County star, comedian Heather McDonald, 56, poked fun at Shannon’s dramatic behavior, prompting the man, who previously called out Bravo for its toxic work environment, to speak out against her.
“Calling all real housewives in need of a storyline, spaces at The Shannon Beador Acting Class is filling up fast,” Heather wrote in the caption of a July 18 clip.
Following the sharing of Heather’s video, a man named Patrick McDonald, who has worked on several Real Housewives shows, including Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and The Real Housewives of Potomac, came forward, sharing his experience with Shannon.
“It’s most wild to see her go from absolutely losing her sh*t, yelling, screaming & cussing at the producers & crew right before the cameras turn on & then she instantly clicks into this tired old performative shtick. One of the most miserable & narcissistic housewives across the entire brand,” he declared.
Meanwhile, in response, Heather confirmed, “You would know! Haha.”
After the comment was shared and began making its rounds on social media, Shannon’s former RHOC co-star, Katie Ginella, 42, weighed in.
“Well….” she wrote on Threads.
As RHOC fans may recall, Shannon faced claims of treating Love Hotel staffers in a “subhuman” manner in September 2024 by host Joel Kim Booster, 38, who later apologized.
“Just because you’re a pathetic drunk on a reality television show best known for a string of failed relationships and a DUI does not give you license to treat the people you work with like they are subhuman. Period,” he stated in a brutal Instagram Story at the time. “They will make me delete this but DM me if you’d like to see some videos. Besos!”
Weeks later, Shannon responded to his allegations.
“We all get tired. Each one of at points were like, ‘Ok, I haven’t eaten, I’m exhausted, or I need to walk away,’ but it wasn’t like berating and screaming,” Shannon said on an October 2024 episode of The Viall Files. “All I can say is I didn’t [do what he said]. I don’t treat people subhuman.”
Still, the claims against her continued the following year.
“[Shannon] had to be told to cool it more than once. To take her anger out on the problem or even the cast, not the people just doing their jobs,” an insider told The U.S. Sun in July 2025. “Production had to step in and have a word with Shannon about the way she can speak to the filming crew sometimes.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 20 airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
