Shannon Beador is clapping back at Heather McDonald after the comedian shared a video poking fun at the Real Housewives of Orange County star on her Instagram page.
After Heather posted a clip in which she imitated Shannon’s often clumsy demeanor and suggested it was nothing more than an act she was putting on to make up for her lack of a storyline, Shannon, 64, appeared on Jamie Kennedy‘s podcast and addressed the shade.
“Some people are saying that this season, season 20, that I’m trying to fall all the time or that I’m trying to be phony,” Shannon began on the July 23 episode of Hate to Break It to Ya with Jamie Kennedy as Jamie, 56, rolled the tape.
“Calling all real housewives in need of a storyline, spaces at The Shannon Beador Acting Class [are] filling up fast,” Heather wrote in the caption of her July 18 clip, which saw her going through her home and to her pool, falling numerous times along the way.
Of the video, Shannon said that it “must’ve taken at least one day to film.”
“She clearly spent an entire day filming and editing and being obsessed with me, so keep talking, Heather. Great,” she stated.
Shannon then expressed regret in being kind to Heather in the past.
“Maybe I shouldn’t have invited her to my home for barbecues with her family. Maybe I shouldn’t have taken her to the USC game sitting on the 50-yard line. Maybe I shouldn’t have done that,” she declared.
According to Shannon, she has been known to fall. However, she doesn’t do so on purpose — or for a storyline.
“Don’t say I went to acting school for it. [And] don’t say that I’m purposefully falling because I don’t have a storyline,” she told Heather.
As for what her season 20 storyline was, Shannon said, “I’m gonna be Shannon Beador.”
As RHOC fans may have seen, Heather’s video prompted Patrick McDonald, who has worked on several Real Housewives shows, to speak out about his experience with Shannon, accusing the longtime reality star of mistreating staff.
“It’s most wild to see her go from absolutely losing her sh*t, yelling, screaming & cussing at the producers & crew right before the cameras turn on & then she instantly clicks into this tired old performative shtick. One of the most miserable & narcissistic housewives across the entire brand,” Patrick said of Shannon.
“You would know! Haha,” Heather replied.
And after the screenshot made its way to Threads, Shannon’s former RHOC co-star, Katie Ginella, 42, reacted, saying, “Well….”
Prior to Patrick, Joel Kim Booster, 38, took aim at Shannon’s behavior, slamming her as a “pathetic drunk” after working with her on Love Hotel.
Although Joel later apologized, another insider told The U.S. Sun that Shannon had been “chastised” by Bravo executives for “unacceptable” behavior behind the scenes.
“[Shannon] had to be told to cool it more than once. To take her anger out on the problem or even the cast, not the people just doing their jobs,” the insider claimed. “Production had to step in and have a word with Shannon about the way she can speak to the filming crew sometimes.”
