Sci-fi thriller “Eyes in the Trees” announced a star-studded cast including Anthony Hopkins, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Ashley Greene, and Victoria Sophia- as it began production this month in Thailand.
The film is set to be a modern reimagining of H.G. Wells’ The Island of Doctor Moreau. The film centers on a video journalist and his film crew as they trek into an isolated forest, only to find their excursion turned into a fight for survival for not just themselves, but the entire human race.
“Eyes in the Trees” was written by B. Harrison Smith (Where the Scary Things Are) and Mike Manning (Son of the South), and Emmy Award winner Timothy Woodward, Jr. (“Til Death Do Us Part”) will direct.
Cuban Actress-entrepreneur-humanitarian Victoria Sophia also serves as an Executive Producer with her company Light in the Dark Productions alongside Daemon Hillin (“Which Brings Me to You”) of Hillin Entertainment, Simon Williams (“The Magic Faraway Tree”) of Ashland Hill and Artisha Mann-Cooper (“Tripped Up”) of Artman Cooper Productions.
We spoke with Victoria Sophia who shared, “As an actor, I’m drawn to projects that help better mankind, but…What happens when the veil falls and you’re the enemy? This film poses questions about what we can all work towards collectively for a better future, and how to do so in a way that doesn’t leave anyone out of that picture, beautifully. I’m excited to bring this thought-provoking story to life alongside such a talented team, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience the intensity and heart of this journey.”
