The game basics are covered in multiple tutorials but here are some cool tips you won’t get through the tutorial.
Capture Energy Nodes
Capturing Energy Nodes and building network make up another essential game mechanic. This helps you construct additional resource extractors and other structures. Expanding your territory gives you access to more resources and production capacity while denying those same advantages to the enemy.
Command Units in Action Mode
You can issue orders to your forces without leaving third-person Action mode. Create several unit groups in Strategy mode, enter the battlefield, choose the group you need, and direct it toward a target. This allows you to fight alongside your army while retaining tactical control.
Reposition the Ark
Try relocating the Ark (aka homebase) to another landing zone. A well-chosen position can shorten supply routes for newly produced units and bring enemy targets within range of the Ark’s orbital strikes. The map contains four designated landing zones where the Ark can deploy. While landed, it can produce any type of unit and construct buildings. While airborne, production is limited to aircraft, but the Ark can still launch orbital strikes. Use its mobility to position the Ark above enemy forces, bring them within orbital-strike range, and deliver devastating fire support before relocating or landing elsewhere.

Use Orbital Strikes as a devastating area-of-effect weapon against concentrated enemy forces. A well-timed surprise strike can eliminate entire enemy’s army formations and instantly deprive the opposing army of its offensive momentum.
Make Use of Aircraft
Do not underestimate aviation. Aircraft are highly mobile, fast moving and can quickly re-deploy across the battlefield, providing support exactly where it is needed. Use them to reinforce threatened positions, intercept enemy forces, or support an attack. Also, entering hero flight mode can help you to navigate much faster. Sometimes it’s the only way to reach distant areas.
Automate Your Factories
Enable AI control for the factories to make them automatically produce units you choose and send them directly into the battle. This allows you to focus on broader strategic decisions or spend more time fighting personally in Action mode.
Equip an Automated Support System
Equip your hero with an automated support turret or drone. Depending on its configuration, it can independently attack enemies, intercept incoming missiles, or provide other valuable assistance during combat, offloading your attention so you can focus on important things!
Evolve Your Alien Forces
Now you can play for the Alien forces and they have their own strengths and weaknesses, which unlocks new strategies. Use Evolution to transform alien units into more powerful, higher-tier units during battle. Protect the cocoons while they evolve, then use the upgraded forces to strengthen your next attack.
Build Superunits
Battleships and Aircraft Carriers can project overwhelming power onto a critical section of the front. Deploying one of these superunits at the right moment can break a fortified position and shift the balance of the entire battle to your favor.
Return Aircraft to the Carrier
After a battle, remember to return your air squadrons to the Aircraft Carrier. Once aboard, damaged units will be repaired, and lost planes can be replaced to restore the squadron to full strength before its next deployment.
Customize the Enemy’s Tactics
In Skirmish mode, use the Enemy Tactics setting to choose anything from defensive behavior to extreme aggression. This determines whether your opponent spends time assembling a large army before attacking or continuously pressures you with waves of smaller units.
Add Support Avatars
Skirmish mode has an ability to add one or more Support Avatars to your team and the enemy team. These AI-controlled heroes could change battle flow dramatically and add variety. You can also use an uneven number of Support Avatars to adjust the balance between the two sides.

THE STORY
